Whether you fancy growing a few herbs in pots, trying your first vegetables or making more of an existing growing space, this session is a chance to get practical advice and ask your questions about growing food with wildlife in mind.
Helen will start by sharing some ideas for creating a productive, wildlife-friendly growing space before we open things up for your questions.
We’ll be talking about things like:
● How to get started if you've never grown your own food before
● Choosing what to grow and making the most of the space you have
● Supporting pollinators and other beneficial wildlife around your crops
● Working with nature when other creatures fancy eating what you're growing too!
● Looking after your soil and using water wisely
● Growing food in smaller spaces and containers
Whether you've got a garden, allotment, balcony, courtyard or just a few pots, you're very welcome.
